“Sorry we are closed” is just not apologetic enough anymore. The very has become necessary because the singleton Sorry has become so degraded as a communicator of apology.

Similarly you need to be a Very Very Important Person (VVIP) to get attention because the word VIP has become so overused.







Trust.
This is a small but momentous development for India: Our society is becoming more trustworthy (alternative, cynical take: labor costs for “policing” have been factored in this).
This could only happen in the developed world I thought.
