Those who have ever posted their resumes on a job search site like Monster or Naukri will notice an instant change…for one, the spam levels go up immediately. I don’t know how many billions I’ve won! (If I had only not been lazy enough to send the processing fees to collect money for my “next of kin” in South Africa/Nigeria/Burkina Faso…Damm!
).
These scams can be quite funny…especially when they are trying to build some credibility. For example, one them talked about a plane crash where my “next of kin” died and put up a link to BBC to a real plane crash. Dude, I know the plane crash is real but your money is not. And I’m not related to Richardson Kshatriya of Nigeria.
According to another email I’ve won million dollars in a lottery by Microsoft Research. Thats creative. Since when did Microsoft conducting lotteries?? (using their products can however make you feel like your computer has a one-in-million chance of working smoothly). And why Microsoft Research?
Spam is dumb so spam is fine. But its most irritating to get job enquiries from Monster/Naukri from totally random companies. Shouldn’t employers just have a look at my profile before contacting me?
I’m an MBA, Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering with an M.Sc. in Physics. But I got this gem some time ago…

<***Company details removed to protect the stupid ***>
Why?? Now, Kushma, do you think I might be a good “fit” for this job? And who uses shorthand anymore? Can’t your company just spend Rs. 2000/- on a good dictaphone?
